I have made the decision to close down ThePleinAirScene.com. Since I began the site eight years ago, much has changed. Most artists, clubs, and galleries have their own sites now. ThePleinAirScene.com is one among dozens that feature plein air painting. Since I haven’t been able to give the site the time it requires to keep it current and to expand on it, I have decided to let it go.
What a privilege it has been to report on this exciting art form and to interact with all of you. Thanks for your support over the years. Special thanks to the members of the Artists Directory who supported the site with their talent and financial assistance and to Helen Duepner who so generously created the artwork and the little animated plein air painter who has been painting 24/7 for seven years. That’s a lot of painting! If he sold only half of what he painted, he’d be a wealthy man. May each of you find happiness and peace. Oh, and have fun out there!
